TV Channel Overview
Al Araby 2 (العربي 2) is an Arabic-language cultural television channel based in Lusail, Qatar, and operated within Fadaat Media. Its programming is aimed at Arab audiences in the region and abroad, with culture and creative expression forming the central focus of the service.
The schedule brings together arts and cultural programs, social and lifestyle topics, drama, cinema, documentaries, and music-related content. Programs also explore books, history, technology, health, and the cultural life of different Arab communities. Interviews and features introduce artists, writers, filmmakers, and other creative figures, while documentaries and dramatic productions broaden the channel beyond studio-based cultural discussion.
Al Araby 2 began broadcasting in 2022 from Lusail. Its launch formed part of a reorganization of Fadaat Media’s television services in which Al Araby TV concentrated more fully on news and current affairs, while Al Araby 2 developed as the group’s cultural and entertainment-oriented channel. The service has since continued to emphasize cultural diversity and programming for Arabic-speaking families and younger audiences.
