Al Souriya TV (السورية) is a Syrian national television channel operated by the General Authority
for Radio and Television (GART) and based in Damascus, Syria. Relaunched
in 2026, it is presented as a family- and community-oriented service addressing
audiences across Syria, with Arabic as its main broadcast language.
The channel combines general-interest programming with coverage of everyday social concerns. Its schedule includes cultural, social, economic, service-related, religious, and entertainment content, together with Syrian drama. Interactive and field-based programs are also part of its editorial approach, giving space to public concerns and issues connected with daily life. The channel’s programming has placed particular attention on family and children as well as Syrian cultural identity and heritage.
Al Souriya returned under its current name and visual identity in February 2026 as part of a wider restructuring of Syria’s national media institutions. Its relaunch followed the 2025 renewal of Alikhbariah Syria, a news-focused service within the same General Authority for Radio and Television. The two channels serve different editorial roles, with Al Souriya centered on family, society, culture, and entertainment, while Alikhbariah Syria focuses primarily on news and current affairs.
